Take Part Opportunities
A number of sessions have been developed aimed at local residents and communities that would like to become more involved. These sessions are free to attend and will include lunch and refreshments.
Posters and leaflets will be appearing in libraries and community venues across the Borough asking residents if they want change in the local area.The full programme will include:
· Campaigns and Petitions - find out how you can create credible campaigns and involve others on Wednesday 2nd December, between 10am an 3.30pm at 25k Youth Centre, Ayton Drive, Redcar.
· Decisions - find out how the Local Authority makes decisions and who scrutinises the decision making process on Wednesday 13th January, between 10am and 2pm at Civic Centre, Coniston Road, Skelton.
· Your Local Councillor - find out more about how to use your local Councillor more effectively and how to become a Councillor on Saturday 6th February, between 10am and 2pm at Eston Town Hall.
· Consultation, a 2 way process? - find out how and why the Local Authority consults with residents and how do you get involved in giving your views on Tuesday 23rd February, between 10am and 2pm at Co-Op Building, Loftus High Street.
