Sustainable Communities - Housing
The Housing Partnership is chaired Iain Sim, Chief Executive of Coast and Country Housing. A range of voluntary, public and private sector stakeholders who co-ordinate a housing deliver plan to achieve the vision, aims and objectives of the Housing Strategy form the group. The four strategic objectives of the Partnership are to:
- Address market failure and create sustainable, inclusive and cohesive communities where people choose to live
- Improve and maintain the condition and management of existing housing and neighbourhoods, and provide housing that is healthy, energy efficient and safe
- Facilitate the development or adaptation of housing to meet the specialist needs of specific sections of the community to promote social inclusion
- Facilitate the development of new housing in sufficient numbers to meet the present and future needs of the Borough, and to meet aspirations for better housing and a balanced housing stock
